Final Reflection
Studiocode
This studiocode project really helped me understand what I was doing well and not doing well. I believe that my class management is pretty good. I use my whistle well to signal to the kids to start and stop. They recognize my whistle and it makes it easy for them to know what I want from them. I also did a good job of transitioning from one skill to the next.
My class instruction could use a little bit of work. I don’t think that I had easy cues for the kids to remember or that I demonstrated each cue the way that I should. I use lots of general feedback but not enough specific. Kids like to hear exactly what they are doing well and I feel like I could have done a better job with that.
In the future, I plan to do a couple of things differently. I think the most important thing that I can do is give better specific feedback. I say “good job” or nice try but I need to tell them exactly what they did a good job doing. This will help them learn better. Also, but going back through the video and seeing all of my instances, I know that I need to come up with better cues to help the kids learn the skills better. This studiocode software really helps to analyze teaching.

Computer Software for Coaching
This technology is really great for coaches because it can help to keep things extremely organized. The coach I work for uses a program like this and he loves it.
Excel
web 2.0
Linkedin.com is a web 2.0 site that I found interesting. It is like facebook but for serious business professionals that want to keep track of their networking in one place.
Learning IMovie
Editing video will also come in handy in coaching. It is really helpful to have tape of a shooter making a shot and then another of him using bad form so he can see what he is doing right and what he is doing wrong.
